Troubleshooting Tips

WIFI Speed Tests

Speed Tests should be performed on a WIRED connection, for accurate results. Testing over WIFI is not reliable, due to too many variables involved with wireless. Distance from the Router and obstructions like walls and solid objects will block WIFI and slow down speeds.

Does each device get full speed?

Speeds are TOTAL, for your home. The total speed is divided up between all devices. Devices that are in use, or working in standby, can slow down other devices in use.

Do you guarantee speeds?

We can not guarantee speeds, due to many variables. We are not the entire Internet. There are hundreds of connections between your device and the website or server you are connecting to.

What is good Ping Time?

Ping times under 100ms are good for gaming, VOIP and Video Calls. For example, the human eye blinks at 100-300ms. A Ping is a test of small data from your device, thru our network, thru the Internet, to a test server, and all the way back to you.
Parent Tip: Most kids will blame "Ping Times" on them losing games. In reality, kids suck at gaming. There are many factors, such as using wireless controllers that add delays, compared to using wired controllers. Video game systems should be wired and not using WIFI, for best results.

My TV is buffering, what can I do?

We always suggest to hard wire your smart TV or streaming device to your WIFI router. This will give it full speed capable and best results. Streaming video over WIFI will slow down other WIFI devices
Streaming from Illegal sources, or hacked devices (Jailbroken FireSticks) will always be slow, as these usually come from poor quality servers in 3rd world countries.
